Job summary

Kokosing Construction seeks an onsite Construction Engineer to plan, develop, coordinate and manage on-site engineering for heavy highway and bridge projects, ensuring alignment with the project schedule. You will supervise engineering staff and interfacing with field teams to resolve issues and maintain quality.

The role requires a Civil Engineering or Construction Management background, 4+ years of experience, and knowledge of Primavera P6.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• 4+ years of construction engineering experience.
• Strong on-site leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage project engineering and related personnel functions and activities.
• Ensure activities comply with company and contract requirements and support the overall project schedule.
• Provide technical support for construction planning and design; interpretation of design; application of construction methods; resolution of design conflicts; contractibility reviews.
• Develop, implement and administer project engineering procedures and other work controlling documents (submittals, RFIs, expediting material deliveries, payment of Subcontractors/Vendors and Owner pay requests).
• Represent company, project and/or department in A/E, client and project management meetings.
• Interface all on-site departments to resolve problems and ensure quality of construction in support of the project schedule.
• Oversee all pre-construction services, design build services, and business development for the project.
• Perform additional assignments per supervisor’s direction.
