Job summary

Kokosing Construction in Middletown, OH is seeking a capable on-site Project Engineer to plan, develop, coordinate, and manage engineering activities for heavy highway and bridge projects. You will lead technical teams and ensure activities align with contracts and schedules.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management and 4+ years of related experience; PE is preferred but not required. Strong communication and leadership are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• 4+ years of construction engineering experience.
• Bridge experience is a strong plus.
• Registration as a Professional Engineer is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, coordinate, and manage onsite construction engineering activities for heavy highway and bridge projects.
• Manage project engineering and related personnel functions and activities.
• Ensure project engineering activities comply with contract requirements and support overall construction schedule.
• Provide technical support for construction planning and design; interpretation of design; application of construction methods; resolution and documentation of design conflicts.
• Develop, implement and administer project engineering procedures and other work controlling documents (submittals, RFI’s, expediting material deliveries, payment of Subcontractors/Vendors and Owner pay requests).
• Represent company, project and/or department during A/E, client and project management meetings.
• Interface all on-site departments as required to resolve problems, ensure quality of construction, etc.
