Job summary

RECON is seeking a Project Engineer to provide technical oversight for environmental remediation and earthwork projects in the west region. You will act as the liaison between clients, engineers, the crew, and the project team, conducting in-process inspections and preparing site-specific documentation and reports.

This in-person role is based on a project in Questa, NM. Responsibilities include coordinating safety, assisting with pre-mobilization submittals, managing field QC and data, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Environmental Engineering/Science or related field.
• Five+ years of Project Engineer/Project Field Engineer experience in earthwork or environmental remediation.
• Proficiency with MS Office and ability to create clear reports and data analyses.
• Experience with site safety practices and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical oversight for environmental remediation and earthwork projects.
• Act as liaison between clients, engineers, and the project team; perform on-site inspections and documentation.
• Support site safety programs and prepare pre-mobilization documentation and regulatory submittals.
• Oversee field data, QC testing (soil, groundwater, stormwater) and reporting.
• Coordinate with project management, crew, and clients; manage subcontractor oversight and RFI processes.
