Job summary
Collins Aerospace, a RTX company, seeks a Production Supervisor to oversee Rome, NY manufacturing operations. You will lead machinists and production staff, driving safety, quality, and productivity while coordinating with maintenance, engineering, and quality to meet schedules.
Requires a university degree with 5+ years in manufacturing leadership; Lean/5S and ERP/MRP experience is highly valued. Onsite role with comprehensive benefits.
Qualifications
- Requires a university degree and 5+ years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with 3+ years of experience.
- Proven ability to lead teams in a fast-paced production environment.
- Experience with Lean, 5S, or other continuous improvement methods is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily production activities to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives.
- Lead, coach, and develop machinists and operators; promote accountability and engagement.
- Maintain safe work practices and enforce EHS regulations and company policies.
- Monitor production schedules, staffing levels, and machine utilization for efficiency.
- Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality or production issues.
- Coordinate with Maintenance, Engineering, and Quality to resolve equipment or process issues.
