Job summary

Orion Steel Group LLC in Portland, OR seeks a Planner I to align production strategies with demand, optimize scheduling, and drive efficiency. This onsite role requires 3–5 years in planning, strong Excel, SQL, and ERP experience, plus excellent cross-functional communication.

Base salary starts at $75,000 per year with monthly incentive bonus opportunities and a comprehensive benefits package beginning on day one.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in business or related discipline; equivalent experience considered.
3–5 years in production planning, supply chain, or data analytics.
Advanced Microsoft Excel; SQL and ERP experience preferred.
Strong cross-functional communication and data-driven thinking.
Ability to manage tight deadlines and extended hours during peak workloads.

Responsibilities

RFQ management: oversee intake and processing of RFQs.
Order review: validate orders against inventory and constraints prior to acceptance.
Demand optimization: map demand to optimal raw material SKUs.
Business intelligence: develop reports, KPIs, and data analyses.
Inventory control: manage finished goods stock levels, evaluate SKU turnover.
Financial modeling: analyze scheduling options and present recommendations to leadership.
Strategic scheduling: identify customer ordering patterns to improve predictability.
