Confidential Employer in Denton, Texas is seeking a skilled Production Planner to own and optimize manufacturing production plans in a high-mix, low-volume environment. You will release orders, balance resources, and partner with procurement and engineering to ensure on-time delivery.

The role requires 3+ years in planning, strong ERP experience (SAP/S4HANA/JD Edwards), and advanced Excel. Join a team focused on continuous improvement and impactful results within a hands-on, onsite setting.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of production planning, scheduling, or supply chain planning in manufacturing.
• Experience in high-mix, low-volume or highly customized manufacturing environments.
• ERP experience with SAP, S/4HANA, JD Edwards, or comparable systems.
• Advanced Excel skills (PivotTables and VLOOKUP).
• Bachelor's degree as stated above or equivalent experience.
• APICS CPIM or Lean Six Sigma certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain manufacturing production plans and release orders based on customer demand and available capacity.
• Balance production requirements with materials, inventory, labor, capacity, and customer delivery expectations.
• Monitor daily supply and demand conditions, identify potential shortages or constraints, and resolve or escalated issues before they impact customers.
• Translate production plans into detailed schedules for components, materials, services, and manufacturing activities.
• Partner with procurement, operations, engineering, quality, warehouse, sales, and leadership to keep production running efficiently.
• Coordinate resolutions for rejected or defective materials to minimize production interruptions.
• Maintain accurate lead-time information and help ensure customer commitments align with manufacturing capabilities.
• Analyze planning data and supply chain metrics to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Help improve planning processes, systems, reports, and tools that support future manufacturing performance.
