Job summary

The University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus is seeking an Electronic Specialist II Retiree to support the Power Management Control System (PMCS) and maintain/repair medium‑voltage equipment across campus facilities.

This temporary retiree role focuses on PMCS logic corrections, software updates, and I/O module replacements to ensure reliable power during outages and transitions between utility and backup power.

Qualifications

• Experience with computerized PMCS including system logic, software updates, and I/O modules.
• Experience with medium-voltage electrical systems, switchgear, substations, transformers, breakers and relays.
• Experience supporting electrical outages, power-transfer operations, preventive maintenance, testing, troubleshooting and repairs.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planned outages and replacement of switchgear breakers that do not transfer power correctly between utility and emergency backup power.
• Repair PMCS logic so breakers engage correctly during outages and during transfer back to utility power.
• Update PMCS software and replace I/O modules.
