Job summary

MicroVision in Orlando is seeking an experienced People Operations Director to lead the HR function on site with some hybrid flexibility. You will shape policies, drive talent acquisition, and oversee employee services while partnering with executives to meet business goals.

This senior role requires strong communication, strategic thinking, and a proven ability to scale People Operations in a technology-driven company.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or other related degree. SPHR or related certification is a plus
• 12+ years in HR with graduated experience and responsibility experience preferably within a technology environment
• 7+ years of management experience in human resources, people operations, or related leadership roles
• Knowledge of current laws and regulations governing human resource matters with a solid understanding of federal and state employment laws; experience with international labor laws a plus
• An excellent communicator, both verbal and written, with the ability to develop and maintain high levels of credibility to forge solid professional relationships with subordinates/peers and become a trusted advisor to upper management
• A multi-tasker with strengths in setting priorities and completing projects within deadlines
• Knowledge of ERISA, HIPAA, FMLA, EEO Compliance, Worker’s Compensation, Unemployment Claims processing and COBRA
• Demonstrated ability to act with professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality
• Proven ability to present and translate People Operations data and analytics into meaningful recommendations for executive leadership

Responsibilities

• Serve as a trusted advisor to the executive and leadership teams
• Develop and lead the talent acquisition strategy and improve hiring processes
• Lead change management initiatives to support growth and scalability
• Stay up-to-date with HR practices, trends, and regulatory changes
• Partner with senior leadership to shape culture and ensure alignment with values
• Oversee HR operations: evaluations, training, records, lifecycle, manuals
• Ensure positive employee relations and coach managers on issues
• Prepare budget and manage departmental resources
• Monitor people data to identify trends and inform decisions
• Assist employees with policies, benefits, cash/ equity plans
• Mentor growth of People Operations and recruiting teams
• Collaborate with Finance, Engineering, and Operations for alignment
