Job summary

Frazer Jones partners with a venture-backed technology company to recruit a Director of People Operations at a growth stage. This hands-on HR leader will oversee People Ops, Talent Acquisition, Employee Relations, Compensation, Compliance, and Engagement, guiding culture and organization effectiveness.

Reporting to senior leadership, you will scale HR processes, drive engagement, and collaborate with Finance on headcount and analytics, in a hybrid NYC environment with equity participation.

Qualifications

• Experience leading People Operations in growing organizations.
• Strong knowledge of US employment practices and compliance.
• Ability to partner with senior leaders and influence decisions.
• Experience scaling HR processes in fast-paced environments.
• Venture-backed tech experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the full employee lifecycle from onboarding to offboarding.
• Advise leaders on employee relations, people strategy, and org matters.
• Drive employee engagement, culture initiatives, and internal communications.

New York City, NY | Hybrid (3 days per week in office) | $170,000-$200,000 Base + Equity

We're partnering with a venture-backed technology company of approximately 100 employees that is looking to hire a Director of People Operations at an exciting stage of growth.

This is a highly visible leadership role for a hands-on HR professional who enjoys building scalable people practices while helping to shape culture, talent, and organizational effectiveness. Reporting into senior leadership, you'll have broad responsibility across People Operations, Talent Acquisition, Employee Relations, Compensation, Compliance, and Employee Engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the full employee lifecycle, from onboarding through development, performance management, and offboarding.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to leaders on employee relations, people strategy, and organizational matters.
• Drive employee engagement, culture initiatives, and internal communications.
• Oversee recruiting efforts and partner with hiring managers to attract and retain top talent.
• Build and refine scalable HR processes, policies, and systems.
• Lead compensation, headcount planning, and people analytics in partnership with Finance and leadership.
• Ensure compliance across a multi-state U.S. workforce.

Ideal Background

• Experience leading People Operations, HR, or Human Resources within a growing organization.
• Strong knowledge of employee relations, compliance, and U.S. employment practices.
• Proven ability to partner with senior leaders and influence decision-making.
• Experience creating structure, improving processes, and operating in fast-paced environments.
• Experience within a venture-backed technology company is strongly preferred, particularly within organizations that have scaled through periods of rapid growth and change.
