Job summary

Ultimate Staffing Services in California is actively seeking a dedicated PCB Rework & Repair Technician to join a reputable company. This role is 100% onsite and involves diagnosing and repairing circuit boards with precision and quality.

You will perform PCB repair and rework, read schematics, and use DMMs and oscilloscopes while working under a microscope. Requires 2+ years of experience and a high school diploma; SMT experience is preferred. Mon-Fri, first shift; $25–$30 per hour.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of PCB repair or electronics troubleshooting.
• High School Diploma is required.
• Experience with PCB manufacturing or SMT manufacturing preferred.
• Ability to read electronic schematics.
• Experience with fine-pitch components (QFN, SOIC) desirable.
• Previous experience as a debug or failure analysis is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Conduct PCB repair, rework, and troubleshooting with precision.
• Repair failed circuit boards, ensuring effective rework rather than just assembly.
• Utilize strong hand soldering skills on SMT and through-hole components.
• Remove and replace electronic components without causing damage to the PCB.
• Use a multimeter (DMM) to troubleshoot and diagnose issues with circuit boards.
• Identify common PCB defects, including cold solder joints, bridges, opens, and damaged traces.
• Work comfortably under a microscope to ensure precision and accuracy.
• Determine the root cause of board failures and implement effective repair solutions.
