Job summary

Ware Malcomb is seeking a Payroll Lead for an onsite role to manage day-to-day U.S. payroll, ensuring timely and accurate processing in compliance with laws and company policies.

You will partner with the Payroll Manager and HRIS vendors to support a smooth payroll experience. The ideal candidate has 2–7 years of multi-state payroll experience, strong HRIS and Microsoft Office skills, and familiarity with Paycom and Deltek Vantagepoint.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2-7 years of multi-state payroll experience.
• Experience with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office is essential.
• Experience with Paycom, Deltek Vantagepoint, and international payroll functions are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll-related employee changes and maintain accurate payroll records.
• Provide customer service to team members in partnership with HR.
• Review and approve U.S. digital timesheets.
• Ensure final checks for separating employees are created timely.
• Register and maintain payroll tax accounts with HRIS vendors.
• Audit payroll data, timesheets and transactions for accuracy and compliance.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws.
• Assist with annual 401(k) audit.
• Prepare and analyze payroll and headcount reports for multi-state operations.
• Collaborate with HR on payroll-related projects.
