LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking an onsite, direct hire Payroll Accountant to join our client's growing accounting team in Tampa, FL. This role focuses on timely and accurate payroll processing while supporting payroll accounting, reconciliations, and month-end close activities.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of payroll accounting experience, strong Excel skills, and the ability to work confidentially in a deadline-driven environment across departments.

Qualifications

• Recent experience using ADP Workforce Now.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related discipline preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in payroll accounting, payroll administration, or general accounting.
• Hands-on experience processing multi-state payroll and preparing payroll-related journal entries and reconciliations.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and ability to analyze financial data.

Responsibilities

• Process biweekly, supplemental, commission, bonus, and special payroll cycles using ADP Workforce Now.
• Review payroll data, timekeeping records, deductions, and payroll reports for accuracy and compliance.
• Prepare payroll-related journal entries, accruals, and supporting documentation.
• Perform reconciliations for payroll liabilities, tax accounts, and benefits.
