Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Ability to balance multiple priorities and handle challenging situations.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Typing 35 wpm and 4500 keystrokes per hour.
• Experience entering demographic/insurance data and using scheduling software.

Responsibilities

• Greet callers and respond to inquiries professionally.
• Input demographic, insurance and referring physician information for new patients.
• Schedule appointments per practice protocols using scheduling systems.
• Provide pre-appointment instructions and directions per protocol.
• Verify and update patient information as needed.
• Investigate scheduling opportunities and escalate per protocol to accommodate patients.
• Document messages electronically and forward to the clinical team.
• Maintain courtesy and assist with service recovery as needed.
• Perform basic office duties and other duties as assigned.
