Job summary

UCLA Health is seeking a dedicated administrative support specialist to assist physicians and patients within assigned primary and/or specialty care practices. You will act as a liaison between patients and providers, help patients access services across the health system, and coordinate communication with referring physicians using EPIC/Care Connect.

This position is on-site in Encino, CA, with options for on-site only; salary ranges from $31.88 to $45.66 per hour, indefinite status, and

Qualifications

• Must be able to set priorities to reflect the importance of duties (e.g., triage and scheduling).
• Ability to build productive relationships with Faculty, Staff, Administration and patients from diverse backgrounds.
• Capable of balancing competing demands in a busy health system environment.
• Excellent verbal communication to convey complex issues clearly.
• Ability to engage with a diverse patient population with empathy.
• Provide coverage for Community Clinics as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a liaison between patients and physicians in the practice.
• Assist patients in accessing services within the health system.

• Refer patients to appropriate resources and provide follow-up via telephone and EPIC/Care Connect.
