Ensemble Health Partners is seeking an entry-level Patient Access Specialist for an on-site role at Tower - Reading Hospital in West Reading, PA. You will handle admitting duties, verify insurance, collect patient information, and ensure compliance while delivering exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of customer service experience.
• Must be inquisitive and demonstrate openness to innovation including AI to explore better processes and ways to alleviate friction and improve patient and client experiences.
• High School Diploma/GED Required
• CRCR Certification required within 9 months of hire (Company Paid)

Responsibilities

• Assign MRNs, perform medical necessity/compliance checks, collect insurance information, process physician orders, and use an overlay tool while delivering excellent customer service.
• Operate the telephone switchboard to relay calls within the office.
• Adhere to policies and provide excellent customer service in interactions with patients and colleagues.
• Pre-register patient accounts prior to visits, including collecting demographics and insurance information.
• Explain consent forms and obtain signatures; distribute required education documents.
• Review insurance eligibility and enter benefit data to support POS and billing processes.
• Screen medical necessity using ABN software and distribute ABN as appropriate.
• Distribute and document designated forms and pamphlets as required.
