Job summary

Ensemble is seeking a Part‑Time Patient Access Specialist to join the Mercy - St Rita's Medical Center team in Lima, OH. You will perform admitting duties, verify insurance, collect demographics, and provide compassionate, compliant service to patients and families.

Responsibilities include MRN assignment, eligibility checks, patient instructions, and coordinating with care teams while maintaining POS goals and excellent customer service. On-site role with weekend rotation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years of customer service experience.
• CRCR certification required within 9 months of hire (company paid).

Responsibilities

• Assign MRNs and complete medical necessity checks, collect insurance information, and provide patient instructions with excellent service.
• Operate the hospital telephone switchboard for inbound/outbound calls and communications.
• Explain consent forms and distribute patient education documents as required.
• Meet point-of-service goals and ensure accurate, timely audit data for leadership.
• Pre-register patient accounts, verify demographics and insurance details, and collect patient financial liabilities.
