Ensemble Health Partners is seeking a part-time Patient Access Specialist to support hospital admissions at the on-site location in Sheboygan, WI. The role includes handling MRNs, insurance verification, POS collections, and patient education with a focus on accuracy and compassionate service.

Preferred candidates have 1+ year of customer service experience and an openness to innovation, including AI to streamline processes. HFMA CRCR certification is encouraged within 9 months of hire.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of customer service experience.
• Inquisitive; open to innovation including AI to improve processes.
• HFMA CRCR certification within 9 months of hire is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assign accurate MRNs and complete medical necessity checks, collect insurance info and process orders with quality service.
• Operate the telephone switchboard to relay calls.
• Adhere to policies and provide compassionate customer service.
• Meet point-of-service goals as assigned.
• Use quality auditing and reporting systems to correct accounts and provide data.
• Pre-register patient accounts and collect demographic/insurance data.
• Explain consent forms and distribute patient education documents.
• Review insurance eligibility and enter benefit data to support POS and billing.
• Screen medical necessity using ABN software and distribute designated forms.
