Ensemble Health Partners is seeking a Patient Access Specialist for an on-site, part-time role at HSHS - St. Nicholas Hospital in Sheboygan, WI. You will perform admitting duties, collect insurance info, and ensure compliance while delivering compassionate patient service.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of customer service experience.
• Must be inquisitive and demonstrate openness to innovation including AI to explore better processes and ways to alleviate friction and improve patient and client experiences.
• High School Diploma/GED Required.
• CRCR Required within 6 months of hire (Company Paid)

Responsibilities

• Admitting duties for all patients admitted for services at the hospital.
• Assign MRNs and complete medical necessity/compliance checks; collect insurance information; process physician orders; provide patient instructions with compassionate service.
• Operate the telephone switchboard and relay calls; maintain POS goals with excellent customer service.
• Audit and correct accounts; provide data to Patient Access leadership.
• Pre-register patient accounts; collect demographics, insurance info, and patient financial liabilities; arrange payment options.
• Explain and obtain signatures on consent forms; distribute patient education documents.
• Review eligibility in insurance verification system and select correct plan code; support POS and billing to help clean claims.
• Screen medical necessity using ABN software; distribute ABN and other required forms.
