Job summary

Ensemble Health Partners is seeking an entry level Patient Access Specialist to perform admitting duties for hospital patients on-site in Stamford, CT. The role supports mission and regulatory compliance while delivering exceptional patient and client experiences.

You will handle pre-registration, insurance verification, POS collections, and patient education materials, with ongoing opportunities for certification and career progression in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of customer service experience.
• Must be inquisitive and open to innovation including AI to explore better processes and experiences.
• High School Diploma/GED required.

Responsibilities

• Assign accurate MRNs, complete medical necessity/compliance checks, collect insurance info, process physician orders, and use overlay tool while providing excellent service.
• Operate the telephone switchboard and relay calls with compassionate customer service.
• Meet point-of-service goals as assigned.
• Use quality auditing to correct accounts and support leadership with data.
