Job summary

Jacob Stern & Sons Inc. is seeking a part-time IT Support Technician to be the first point of contact for technology issues for staff at Blue Bell and remote locations.

The onsite role handles Tier 1 Help Desk tickets in Freshservice, resolving Windows 10/11, VPN, and Microsoft 365 issues, and assisting with onboarding and device readiness. Under the Infrastructure Manager, the candidate will troubleshoot hardware, software, printers, and AV setups, with clear documentation and timely escalation

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of IT support/help desk experience or equivalent coursework/certifications.
• CompTIA A+ or Google IT Support Certificate or relevant certifications preferred.
• Associate’s degree in a technology-related field or equivalent certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, self-assign, prioritize, resolve, and document Freshservice Tier 1 incidents within SLAs.
• Troubleshoot laptops, desktops, monitors, printers, Windows 10/11 issues, VPN, software installations, and Microsoft 365 issues.
• Stage, configure, deliver, and support end-user devices for new hires; assist with onboarding/offboarding tasks.
• Maintain hardware asset inventory, perform basic repairs, coordinate vendor RMAs, and support drive mapping and printer config.
• Perform routine conference room and AV readiness checks and provide on-demand meeting support.
• Escalate Tier 2/3 issues with clear documentation and urgency; contribute to IT knowledge base.
