Job summary

Packsize is hiring a Resident Service Engineer to install, configure and maintain equipment at customer sites in Indianapolis, IN. The role involves startup testing, training customers, and solving complex mechanical issues while building strong relationships with clients.

The position requires hands-on mechanical skills, travel to customer facilities, and adherence to safety protocols. Training and cross-functional collaboration with R&D, software, and quality teams are key aspects of the job.

Qualifications

• Experience assisting customers and resolving issues in a field service role.
• Ability to read and follow technical drawings and documentation.
• Familiarity with Windows OS, MS Office or Google Docs.
• Hands-on mechanical/electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites and work on-site.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain Packsize equipment at customer facilities.
• Perform start-up testing and deliver customer training on product capabilities.
• Troubleshoot issues using technical drawings and documentation.
• Respond to service needs including routine maintenance and emergencies.
• Analyze KPIs to identify machine performance issues and plan maintenance.
• Communicate clearly with Packsize and customer personnel.
• Adhere to safety requirements and protection protocols.
• Coordinate travel, prepare reports, and complete administrative tasks.
