Job summary

Prism Vision Group is seeking a Lead Ophthalmic Assistant for our Retina Care Center in York, PA. This non-exempt, onsite role involves overseeing daily operations, coordinating clinical activities, and supervising staff to ensure high-quality patient care.

You will assist physicians in complex procedures, manage patient flow, and maintain accurate documentation across EMR systems. Occasional travel to other locations may be required.

Qualifications

• High School/GED required; Bachelor’s preferred or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years ophthalmic assistant experience; 2+ years leading on the floor.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate team activities to maintain high-quality patient care.
• Assist physician in complex procedures and advanced diagnostic testing.
• Review patient charts for completeness and accuracy.
• Document patient histories and record visual acuity.
• Perform tests such as OCT, automated fields, photography, pachymetry, biometry.
