Job summary

Prism Vision Group in York, PA is seeking a non-exempt Ophthalmic Assistant for an onsite role at The Retina Care Center. Occasional travel to other locations may be required; compensation ranges from $18.00 to $34.68 per hour, depending on experience.

You will perform measurements and tests to support physicians in diagnosing and prescribing treatment, maintain documentation to standards, and deliver excellent patient services.

Qualifications

• Education: HS/GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 0–2 years ophthalmic assistant experience.
• Excellent communication and data entry skills.

Responsibilities

• Review patient charts for completeness and accuracy.
• Record ocular and systemic history and visual acuity.
• Perform OCT, visual fields, photography, pachymetry, and biometry.
• Conduct lensometry, automated refractometry, and slit lamp exams.
• Scribe data into EMR or paper charts and administer medications.
• Maintain exam room cleanliness and assist with patient flow.
