Job summary

MU Health Care is seeking a Nurse Tech for the Oncology department, working day shifts on-site in Columbia, MO. You will support patient transfers, meal delivery, feeding assistance, and routine vital checks, while ensuring a compassionate, efficient patient experience.

You will train new staff, handle multiple tasks, and contribute to a culture of continuous learning in a patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• Assist nursing/ancillary staff with transferring patients, meals, and feeding as directed.
• Demonstrate ability to organize workload and manage multiple tasks while maintaining order.
• Educate and train new staff in Care Team Associate responsibilities.
• Perform other duties as delegated by nursing staff and unit management.
• Handle vitals, glucose checks, and specimen delivery as requested.

Responsibilities

• Assist nursing staff/ancillary staff in transferring patients and delivering meals.
• Maintain orderly environment and prompt communication to patients, visitors, and staff.
• Educate and train new staff on Care Team Associate duties.
• Perform routine and emergency duties as needed.
• Record information into bed-management and other systems accurately.
