MU Health Care is seeking a dedicated Nurse Tech for the Neuroscience ICU at University Hospital in Columbia, MO. This part-time on-site role supports patient transfers, meal delivery, feeding assistance, and daily care tasks in a high-acuity unit.

You will train and educate new staff while maintaining patient safety, organization, and efficient unit operations. The NSICU is a certified stroke center with strong research ties and clinical education opportunities.

Qualifikationen

• Enrolled in a nursing education program or CNA program with relevant coursework completion within stated timeframe.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification or exam registration.
• Demonstrated direct patient care experience in the past three years as a nursing assistant, EMT, or surgical technician.
• May include a nursing program completion in the last three years or pending licensure.

Aufgaben

• Assist nursing and ancillary staff with patient transfers, meal tray pickup and delivery, and feeding as directed.
• Organize workload, maintain a clean, orderly environment, and ensure clear communication with patients and families.
• Educate and train new staff on Care Team Associate responsibilities.
• Respond to routine and emergent needs and perform unit/department duties as required.
• Perform vital signs checks, specimen handling, and basic clinical tasks per supervision.
