Job summary

Unigen Corporation in Newark, CA is seeking a Senior Quoting Specialist to manage end-to-end quotation for PCBA, Box Build, and related manufacturing services. You will analyze material, labor, overhead, logistics, tariffs, NRE, and margins to craft profitable customer proposals.

This role requires strong Excel skills, cost modeling, and collaboration with Engineering, Program Management, Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, Sales, and suppliers to ensure accurate and competitive quotes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, supply chain, finance, business administration or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in EMS/electronics manufacturing, sourcing, procurement, or cost estimation.
• Strong knowledge of electronic components, PCB fabrication, PCBA, Box Build, and manufacturing processes.
• Proven experience developing customer quotations and cost models for electronics programs.
• Advanced Excel skills including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP and Power Query.
• Experience with ERP, PLM, and quotation management systems.
• Strong analytical, communication, negotiation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Own the complete quotation process from RFQ receipt through final customer proposal.
• Review RFQs, BOMs, Gerber files, drawings, and documentation for completeness and accuracy.
• Analyze requirements, identify risks, and coordinate resolution with internal teams and customers.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Program Management, Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, Sales and suppliers to gather data.
• Obtain supplier pricing, lead times, and market intelligence; validate labor, overhead and costing assumptions.
• Drive value engineering and cost-reduction opportunities during quoting and maintain pricing databases.
