Job summary

Unigen Corporation in Newark, CA, is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer for Remanufacturing & Services. You will develop, optimize, and lead remanufacturing and repurposing processes for high-density server components, write MPIs/SOPs, and drive continuous improvement across cross-functional teams.

Ideal candidates will have 6+ years in EMS/manufacturing engineering, strong expertise in mechanical box builds and multi-level BOMs, and experience with MES/traceability.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Electronics) or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum 6 years of related process, quality, or manufacturing engineering experience within an EMS or electronics remanufacturing environment.
• Specialized hands-on expertise in mechanical box build and multi-level BOM management.
• Experience with MES, traceability, and tooling management.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain manufacturing, remanufacturing, and component repurposing processes aligned with product specs and quality standards.
• Lead mechanical box build projects for enterprise servers with deep BOM structures.
• Write and maintain MPIs and SOPs and visual work instructions for operators.
• Collaborate with design teams and clients to deliver DFM/REM guidance and lifecycle insights.
• Coordinate product launches, ECOs/MCOs, and tooling needs; train operators and supervisors.
• Perform RCA and CAPA investigations for non-conforming products and yield issues.
