Job summary

First Credit Services Inc. seeks a Desktop Support Technician to be the hands-on IT resource for our Columbus, GA site. You will maintain network, hardware, software, and end-user devices, providing Tier 1–3 support and user assistance onsite.

You will collaborate with corporate IT and remote teams to deploy systems, ensure security, document configurations, and keep key equipment and networks running with minimal downtime. The role requires strong diagnostic and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Networking, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in IT support, network administration, systems administration, or a related technical role.
• Demonstrated experience troubleshooting network connectivity and computer hardware/software issues.
• Working knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, LAN/WAN, Wi‑Fi, and network troubleshooting.
• Experience supporting Windows‑based environments.
• Ability to troubleshoot technical problems independently and elevate appropriately.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and documentation skills.
• Ability to work effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, maintain and troubleshoot LAN/WAN network infrastructure.
• Provide Tier 1–3 technical support to employees onsite.
• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot computers, laptops, printers, and other IT equipment.
• Support user account access, permissions, and system access requests.
• Assist with system deployments, upgrades, patches, and tech refreshes.
• Coordinate with vendors and remote IT teams for services.
