Job summary

AT&T Global Public Sector is seeking a Network Support Technician to support an ICE OCIO program in Birmingham, AL. The NST provides Tier II IT support onsite and remotely, handling LANs, servers, and end-user devices in a 24x7 environment.

The role reports to an Area Technical Lead and requires working with predefined guidelines, with after-hours on-call rotation and travel as needed. Strong troubleshooting and teamwork are essential, as is compliance with security and DHS requirements.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship and pass DHS E-Verify.
• Associate degree or equivalent experience.
• 1+ year IT-related support experience, preferably in a helpdesk or customer support role.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve desktop, network, or other IT issues.
• General knowledge of network products and systems.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% and pass MVR checks.

Responsibilities

• Provide LAN administrator support with installation, configuration and maintenance of network devices and servers.
• Support network-attached devices such as computers, printers, and sensors.
• Support mobile and wireless devices including smartphones and tablets.
• Test, apply, and maintain server configurations and security patches.
• Monitor health of systems and backups and perform restore testing.
• Use ITSM (ServiceNow) and update tickets per templates.
