Job summary

AT&T Global Public Sector seeks a Network Support Technician to support ICE OCIO IT Field Operations in Jacksonville, FL. The role requires 5 days a week on customer site, with both on-site and remote Tier II support to minimize downtime of LANs and related services.

Responsibilities include LAN administration, device support, server patching, and ITSM ticketing via ServiceNow. Travel and a security-clearance readiness are required in a demanding government environment.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. Citizen and pass the DHS Employment Eligibility Verification process.
• Associate Degree or equivalent experience; 1+ years IT-related support experience.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve desktop, network, or other IT issues.
• General knowledge of network products and systems.
• Experience in a rapid paced, time sensitive, high-quality environment.
• Must have excellent team skills and collaboration skills.
• Attention to detail and follow-through.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Must pass Motor Vehicle Records check and possible overnight travel (<20%).
• Travel readiness for local and occasional overnight travel to Government locations.
• Comfortable working in a Law Enforcement environment.
• ITIL v4, MCSE, A+, Security+, Network+ or other certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide LAN administrator support with installation, configuration and maintenance of network communication devices, servers, network storage arrays and tape backup units.
• Support network attached devices such as computers, printers, biometric devices, and sensors.
• Support mobile and wireless devices including smartphones, tablets, and hotspots.
• Assist in testing, applying, and maintaining server configurations and security patches.
• Maintain health of systems and backups including restore testing.
• Monitor ITSM (ServiceNow) assignment groups and resolve tickets.
• Update tickets per documentation templates to ensure quality.
• Provide daily, weekly, and monthly activity reports.
• Provide inventory input to the customer’s inventory system.
• Install and maintain video teleconferencing infrastructure and support user requests.
• Participate in after-hours on-call and special projects.
• Conduct new equipment deployments and deployment support.
• Provide cabling support in data centers and LAN rooms.
