Job summary
AT&T Global Public Sector is seeking a Network Operations Specialist to support the customer’s computer data communications systems and provide event management and advanced incident troubleshooting at a government site in Springfield, VA. This full-time onsite role requires expertise in LAN/WAN operations and collaboration with Tier III network engineers.
The ideal candidate has extensive Layer 3 protocol knowledge (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, MPLS) and hands-on experience with Cisco IOS, Juniper JUNOS,
Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years combined experience or education used to meet DoD 8140 IAT Level 2.
- Must have DoD 8140 IAT Level 2.
- Strong familiarity with Layer 3 protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, VRRP, HSRP, MPLS, LSP, VRF, GRE).
- Experience with network tools like Visio and ServiceNow.
Responsibilities
- Support installation and maintenance of LAN/WAN devices.
- Respond to and resolve escalated incident tickets.
- Coordinate with Tier III engineers for incident management and projects.
- Configure and troubleshoot VLANs and Layer 2/3 networks.
- Draft and review network operation process documentation.
