AT&T Global Public Sector in El Paso, TX is seeking a Network Support Technician to provide on-site and remote Tier II IT support for LANs, servers, storage, and devices. You will report to an Area Technical Lead and contribute to IT operations in a 24x7 environment, including after-hours on-call and deployment activities.

The role requires US citizenship, a DHS requirement, and the ability to work in a law enforcement environment.

Qualifications

• US citizenship and pass DHS E-Verify.
• Associate degree or equivalent IT experience.
• 1+ year IT-related support experience (helpdesk/customer support).
• Ability to troubleshoot desktop, network, or other IT issues.
• General knowledge of network products and systems.
• Experience in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
• Ability to travel as needed (local/overnight).
• Comfort working in a law enforcement environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide LAN admin support, installing/configuring network devices, servers, storage, and tape backups.
• Support networked devices (PCs, printers, biometrics, x-ray, sensors).
• Support mobile and wireless devices (phones, tablets, hotspots).
• Assist in testing and applying server configurations and security patches.
• Maintain system health and backups; perform restore testing.
• Monitor ITSM tickets in ServiceNow and troubleshoot to resolve issues.
• Document tickets with templates and ensure quality.
• Produce daily/weekly/monthly activity reports.
• Manage inventory in the customer inventory system.
• Install and maintain video conferencing infrastructure; support user requests.
• Participate in after-hours on-call and special projects.
• Deploy new equipment and provide deployment support.
• Provide cabling in data centers and wiring closets.
• Analyze business requirements and design specifications.
• Contribute to technical discussions and briefing materials.
• Identify/fix problems and enhance existing systems; participate in new IT system design.
• Translate customer needs into architecture/engineering requirements.
