Job summary

CTH Recruiting LLC is seeking an Assistant Property Manager for a multifamily community in Hamburg, NY. This on-site, full-time role supports daily operations, resident services, and leasing processes while coordinating with maintenance and staff.

Ideal candidates have at least two years of related experience, strong customer service skills, and the ability to manage records, payments, and reporting. Flexible schedule and onsite presence are required.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience as Assistant Property Manager or in multifamily/residential property management
• Experience with resident accounts, rent collection, deposits, and delinquency follow-up
• Knowledge of leasing, renewals, applications, move-ins/outs
• Strong resident relations and customer service skills
• Ability to communicate calmly and professionally in difficult conversations
• Strong administrative, organizational, and follow-through skills

Responsibilities

• Support the Property Manager with daily property operations and administrative tasks
• Assist with property operations when the Property Manager is unavailable
• Maintain accurate resident accounts, records, and reports
• Process rent, deposits, application fees, and other payments
• Prepare deposits and related documentation according to procedures
• Follow up on delinquent accounts and issue appropriate notices
• Handle move-ins, move-outs, renewals, and security deposit documentation
• Conduct property tours and assist with applications and leasing
• Respond to residents and prospects and route inquiries
• Coordinate with maintenance for service requests and follow-up on completion
• Monitor property and maintain curb appeal; complete daily/weekly/monthly reports
• Keep leases and files organized and up to date
• Support resident retention and property marketing activities
• Stay informed about local rental conditions and market trends
• Comply with Fair Housing and applicable laws
