Job summary

Rush Truck Centers is seeking an Experienced Mobile Diesel Technician to service our customers’ fleets at their locations. You will maintain equipment, perform on-site diagnostics, and respond to service calls to keep trucks on the road.

Qualifications

• 5 years' experience as a Class 7 & 8 technician in a dealership or related truck service facility.
• Current CDL preferred but not required.
• Medical card as required by FMVSS.
• Peterbilt, International, Ford, Hino, Isuzu, Cummins, & ASE certifications preferred & rewarded.
• Mechanical aptitude and technical ability is a must.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all aspects of equipment according to company standards.
• Handle basic maintenance of the truck including filling tank with fuel, checking oil, keeping it clean, and ensuring inspections are performed and documented.
• Manage inventory control on the service truck and for keeping the vehicle properly stocked.
• Report to the Service Manager and be assigned duties daily.
• Maintain availability for after-hours service calls and open work schedule.
