Job summary

The Boeing Company is seeking a F/A-18 and EA-18G Mid-Level Software Engineering Manager for our Berkeley, MO site. You will lead a mission systems software team delivering real-time embedded software in an agile DTP-N environment, while acting as a business owner for an agile release train.

You will work with Program Management and Mission Systems IPT leaders to manage contracts, interface with Navy customers, and drive technical strategy on the F/A-18 & EA-18G programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 5+ years in a leadership role (project/team/program).
• Experience with SAFe and Earned Value Management is preferred.
• Experience on Mission Systems products is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead project and process plans; set goals and policy.
• Resource acquisition; manage suppliers and process improvements.
• Build and maintain customer and stakeholder relationships.
• Approve technical approaches, products and processes.
• Hire and develop engineering staff; motivate teams.
• Oversee software engineering activities and teams.
• Operate within SAFe; coordinate across ARTs.
• Coordinate work across unclassified and secret areas.
• Fulfils CAM duties for EVM tracking; report status to PMs and Navy.
• Interface with program management and customers on software status.
