Job summary

The Boeing Company seeks a Software Engineering Manager to lead the Flight Simulation | Labs (FSL) F/A-18 Models team in Berkeley, Missouri. You will guide engineers developing frameworks and tools to support the larger FSL F/A-18 organization within an agile IPT.

This role requires proven leadership, collaboration across functions, and the ability to drive technical decisions. A Bachelor's degree and US Citizenship are required; a US security clearance is preferred or required for eligibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Leadership experience in a software/engineering setting.
• Experience with agile software development and modeling/simulation is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage employees performing engineering and technical activities in Software Engineering.
• Develop and execute departmental plans, policies, and procedures; provide input on strategies and objectives.
• Acquire resources for department activities; provide technical management of suppliers and lead process improvements.
• Develop and maintain relationships with customers, stakeholders, peers and team members.
• Provide guidance, oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
• Manage, develop and motivate employees.
