Job summary

The Boeing Company in Berkeley, Missouri, seeks a Software Engineering Manager to lead the Flight Simulation | Labs F/A-18 models software team in an agile IPT environment. You will own software strategy for FSL F/A-18, guide engineers, and drive modeling and simulation efforts to support advanced aircraft programs.

The role requires leadership experience, a strong software engineering background, and the ability to obtain a US security clearance. Travel is around 15%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• US Citizenship required to obtain clearance.
• At least one year in a leadership role or completed relevant Boeing leadership course.
• 3+ years' proven experience as a Software Engineer.

Responsibilities

• Manage employees performing engineering and technical activities in software engineering.
• Develops and executes departmental plans, policies, and procedures.
• Acquires resources and leads process improvements.
• Develops and maintains relationships with customers and stakeholders.
• Provides guidance, oversight and approval of technical approaches and processes.
• Manages, develops and motivates employees.
