Job summary

MANTECH seeks a motivated Metrology Analyst to join our team onsite in Livermore, CA. This role focuses on precision metrology, inspecting target components, and documenting processes to support Department of Energy programs.

The Metrology Engineer will leverage a strong technical background to lead project management initiatives, write SOPs, and train teammates while handling delicate parts in a fast-paced environment and ensuring safety and quality throughout all inspections.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience keeping records and documenting measurements.
• Able to learn and operate metrology instruments and microscopes.
• Detail-oriented with ability to spot non-conforming specifications and suggest improvements.
• Strong communication and ability to work independently to meet deadlines.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams to drive agendas and document technical work.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-process and final metrology and inspections on target components using optical microscopes and metrology equipment.
• Record process data in lab notebooks and digital spreadsheets; analyze data using statistical methods.
• Write standard operating procedures for metrology and fabrication processes and train team members.
• Identify out-of-spec parts or issues and assist with root-cause investigations.
• Manage simple projects from start to finish to deliver target packages.
• Maintain safety and handle fragile components daily while following SOPs.
