Job summary

Valar Atomics is seeking a Production Metrology Technician to support calibration and measurement system integrity for HTGR reactor component production. This on-site role operates in Torrance, working with Production Quality Metrology Engineers and technicians to ensure gauges and instruments remain accurate and traceable.

You will calibrate, track due dates, coordinate external calibrations, and participate in Gauge R&R and MSA studies on a hands-on manufacturing floor.

Qualifications

• Must have high attention to detail and disciplined calibration work.
• Ability to read and interpret basic engineering drawings and procedures.
• Familiarity with measurement equipment and standard techniques, or willingness to learn.
• Experience in manufacturing environments with safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine calibration and verification checks on production measurement equipment against traceable standards.
• Maintain calibration schedule and master equipment list, track due dates and history.
• Coordinate outsourced calibration, including shipment and certificates.
• Assist in Gauge R&R studies and other MSA activities.
• Identify out-of-tolerance or malfunctioning equipment and support investigations.
