Job summary

Valar Atomics Inc. is seeking a Production Quality Metrology Engineer to own calibration and measurement system integrity on the Torrance floor.

You will ensure gauge traceability, manage master equipment lists, and lead Gauge R&R and MSA studies with QA and Manufacturing teams. The role requires interpreting GD&T, applying measurement uncertainty considerations, and coordinating in-house and outsourced calibration to support production and certification training syllabi.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline required.
• 3+ years in metrology, calibration engineering, or MSA in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of MSA, Gauge R&R, and measurement uncertainty concepts.
• Ability to interpret drawings, GD&T, and tolerances for measurement methods.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain the calibration program and standards traceability.
• Manage in-house and outsourced calibration activities and vendor qualification.
• Plan and execute Gauge R&R and MSA studies; evaluate repeatability and bias.
• Develop measurement uncertainty budgets and select measurement methods.
• Collaborate with QA, Manufacturing, and Engineering to resolve nonconformances.
