Job summary

Hoffman Construction Co of America seeks an MEP Cost Engineer to join the Cost Management team on site in Portland, OR. You will analyze project design and construction documents to determine MEP needs, review cost proposals, and prepare cost estimates for scope changes.

The role requires preparing cost reports, coordinating with subs and vendors, and ensuring accurate reporting throughout the project lifecycle. This position is fully onsite and offers incentives.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of construction estimating experience required.
• Experience on industrial/hi-tech semiconductor manufacturing projects preferred.
• LEED Accredited Professional, or ability to become accredited within 18 months preferred.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Civil/Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain job cost reports, including budgets, commitments, forecasts, and spends.
• Track costs by bid package, field order, and change category per client.
• Prepare and manage cost authorization packages.
• Summarize quantities of materials in an orderly fashion.
• Interpret design/construction documents to quantify materials.
