Job summary

Hoffman Construction Co of America in Boise, Idaho, is seeking a Process Construction Manager to lead the Mechanical team on large hi-tech projects and coordinate with design professionals, clients and subcontractors onsite.

The role focuses on mechanical quality control, startup planning, RFI management, and collaboration with civil, architectural and structural teams to ensure safe startup and project readiness.

Qualifications

• Five years of mechanical construction experience required.
• Experience in industrial and/or hi-tech semiconductor manufacturing projects.
• Experience working in a live high-tech facility required.
• Education background in materials and methods of construction.
• LEED accreditation preferred or ability to obtain within 18 months.

Responsibilities

• Oversee waste subcontractor and vendor installation work daily to maintain schedule and support system startup and commissioning activities.
• Interface between Area Construction Managers and multiple subcontractors to coordinate mechanical and electrical system startups.
• Verify documentation is complete and equipment is ready for startup.
• Coordinate MEP systems with civil, architectural, and structural elements within the project design.
• Organize and facilitate training of clients' personnel in operations and maintenance of MEP systems.
• Run startup meetings with stakeholders to coordinate MEP startup activities.
• Review and process project submittal information and coordinate between submittals for accuracy and functionality.
• Receive and distribute RFIs and change documents issued by other team members.
• Field survey of control lines and benchmarks.
• Be the technical advisor at the onsite field construction office.
• Assist in estimating mechanical budgets and managing mechanical team staffing.
• Secure mechanical subcontractors and equipment buyout and manage subcontractor contracts and modifications.
