Job summary

Amazon’s Workplace Health & Safety team seeks an Onsite Medical Representative to deliver first aid, coordinate care, and coach on safe work practices at the Shreveport site. You will collaborate with WHS leaders to manage injuries, records, and return-to-work processes.

Required are an EMT/Paramedic or athletic trainer qualification, BLS, OSHA knowledge, and proficiency with MS Office. The role demands flexible shifts and hands-on safety leadership.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent required.
• Current BLS certification from an approved ECC provider.
• EMT or Paramedic certification or Athletic Trainer certification.
• Certification to teach first aid, CPR and AED training.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with an industrial wellness program.
• Experience managing musculoskeletal disorders and ergonomics.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and Workers' Compensation.
• Proficient in digital recordkeeping.
• Last year: six months in military as a Combat Medic/Field Medic/Healthcare Specialist.

Responsibilities

• Provide first aid and referrals to outside medical providers as needed.
• Minimize injury risk through education and proactive engagement.
• Maintain all records of care provided to associates.
• Coordinate workers’ compensation and return-to-work programs.
• Provide daily activity logs and end-of-shift reports.
• Coach associates and leadership on safe work habits.
• Maintain clean environment and medical supply inventory.
• Participate in training to certify first aid, CPR and AED.
• Maintain all first aid, CPR, AED credentials.
• Work flexible shifts including days, nights, holidays, weekends.
• Assist with random saliva drug testing protocols.
• Support emergency response and care delivery on site.
