The MA will perform patient preparation, clerical duties, and clinical tasks within EMR, while ensuring accurate documentation and patient safety.

Responsibilities include phlebotomy, EKGs, injections, specimen handling, and coordination with care teams to meet patient and operational targets.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
• MA certification or eligibility is required within 90 days of hire.
• 2+ years experience as an MA or 1+ year as Clinical Support Representative at Penn Medicine may be considered in lieu of MA program completion.

Responsabilités

• Rooms patients promptly and prepares them for visit using EMR.
• Performs clinical tasks including phlebotomy, EKGs, injections, and specimen handling.
• Maintains infection control and safe patient care practices.
• Provides telephonic patient care and care coordination with specialists and other services.
• Supports nursing staff with documentation, education materials, and patient instruction.
