Penn Medicine Westtown Internal Medicine in West Goshen Township, PA, is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians and the practice manager. The MA will perform patient preparation, vitals, EMR documentation, and assist during visits, procedures, and follow‑ups.

This full‑time, on‑site role requires a Penn Medicine approved MA program completion or equivalent, HS diploma, BLS, and MA certification within 90 days of hire; 18+ months' experience may be considered.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma/GED required.
• Completion of a Penn Medicine approved MA program required.
• 18+ months experience as MA may be considered in lieu of MA program.
• 1+ year as Clinical Support Representative may be considered in lieu of MA program.
• 1+ year healthcare experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Promptly rooms patients and documents vitals in EMR, reviews health history, and prepares chart for visit.
• Assists with specimen collection, lab tests, and manages samples per guidelines.
• Performs EKGs and outpatient screening tests as ordered by MD.
• Assists with minor procedures, maintains sterile field, and supports patient safety.
• Coordinates care with nurses, physicians, and other health services, including follow-up calls.
• Responds to emergencies and ensures patient safety throughout visits.
