Job summary

Loenbro, LLC in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, is seeking a Mechanical Superintendent to lead industrial mechanical construction projects up to $10M in value. You will assist the Project Manager by coordinating crews, equipment, and subcontractors, ensuring schedule adherence and safety compliance.

The ideal candidate has extensive leadership experience in mechanical trades, strong planning skills, and proficiency with MS Office.

Qualifications

• Engineering or Construction Management degree preferred.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in construction of industrial & Commercial projects.
• Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience overseeing mechanical craft trades.
• Proficient with all Microsoft Office products.
• Completion of OSHA 30 or equivalent safety training.
• Ability to travel at least 75% of the time.
• Driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Review project schedules with Superintendents/Foreman and keep critical activities on track.
• Oversee field activities for industrial construction projects from setup to closeout.
• Document field issues impacting budget, quality, or schedule and report to PM.
• Respond to subcontractor requests for field issues impacting budget, quality, or schedule.
• Supervise daily work of employees.
• Verify conformance of finished work and adherence to contract requirements.
• Ensure safety and environmental requirements are met.
• Coordinate labor, equipment, and subcontractor resources to complete projects on time and within budget.
