Job summary

AKS Engineering & Forestry, LLC is seeking an Electrical Engineer to lead onsite oversight of LV/MV/HV systems, inverters and BESS on utility-scale renewables. This full-time, onsite role requires coordinating with EPC partners, OEMs and subcontractors to keep projects safe, aligned with plans, and on schedule.

You will travel to project sites across the United States, document field decisions, support QA/QC and ensure NEC compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• Experienced construction professional with electrical background in solar, BESS or wind.
• Coordinate multiple trades; manage LV/MV/HV, cable installation, energization in fast-paced field.
• Strong communicator with ability to document meetings, decisions and field changes.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day onsite oversight of LV, MV, HV electrical systems, inverters and BESS installations.
• Oversee cable pulling, terminations and testing to meet project specs and safety.
• Ensure electrical QA/QC and energization readiness throughout installation.
• Interface with OEMs and commissioning teams to coordinate installation requirements and resolve issues.
• Manage electrical NCRs and corrective actions; track root cause resolution.
• Track testing and turnover documentation through project lifecycle for closeout.
• Ensure NEC compliance and adherence to industry standards.
• Conduct regular site walks to monitor progress and identify issues.
• Review work plans, construction methods, safety procedures and schedules for electrical works.
• Support inspections, punch walks, permit closeouts and compliance activities.
• Maintain accurate project documentation on site conditions and progress.
• Serve as EPS onsite representative while building relations with clients, utilities and contractors.
