Job summary

Calance is seeking a Mechanical Field Engineer for an onsite Georgetown, KY assignment. You will oversee field startups, inspections, and coordination with contractors and vendors to deliver equipment installation and commissioning.

The role requires 10+ years in industrial/construction, OSHA 10, AutoCAD/Bluebeam proficiency, and a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering. Strong communication and scheduling skills are essential to manage RFIs, submittals, and field changes.

Qualifications

• OSHA 10 certification required.
• 10+ years of experience in industrial or commercial construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction means, methods and scheduling.
• Proficient drawing review and field application abilities.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate mechanical building system startups and commissioning activities.
• Coordinate with contractors and vendors for testing, installation and hand-over.
• Review submittals, shop drawings and RFIs; ensure compliance with codes and standards.
• Manage schedules, daily/weekly/monthly, and coordinate weekend shutdowns.
• Act as liaison between field construction and project management.
