K&K Technical Group is seeking an experienced Mechanical Field Engineer for an automotive manufacturing facility in Georgetown, Kentucky. This onsite role demands strong background in industrial construction, mechanical systems, and contractor coordination to ensure safe, efficient project completion.

The candidate will liaise between engineering, project managers and operations, handle field coordination, document control, and commissioning activities on site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years supporting industrial or commercial construction projects.
• 5+ years mechanical design experience.
• Experience with building systems, equipment installation, startup, and commissioning.
• Ability to interpret drawings, specs, and documentation.
• Knowledge of building codes and standards (IBC, NFPA, ASME, ASHRAE).
• OSHA 10 certification.
• Experience overseeing contractors and coordinating multiple construction activities.

Responsabilités

• Oversee mechanical construction activities, installations, and commissioning.
• Coordinate startups, testing, commissioning, and handover of equipment.
• Review drawings, submittals, shop drawings, specs, and RFIs.
• Manage contractors to ensure safety, quality, and schedule compliance.
• Conduct field inspections to verify installations meet specs and codes.
• Coordinate testing, delivery, installation, and startup activities.
• Support scheduling, progress tracking, and field coordination.
• Maintain project documentation and reports.
