Employee Workplace is seeking a Mechanical Field Engineer for an onsite project in Georgetown, KY. The role focuses on installation, commissioning, contractor oversight, and ensuring construction quality and compliance at an automotive manufacturing facility.

Qualified candidates have a mechanical engineering degree, 10+ years of relevant construction experience, and proficiency with AutoCAD, Bluebeam, MS Office, and MS Project. OSHA 10 is required, with PMP and OSHA 30 preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of industrial or commercial construction experience.
• 5+ years of mechanical design experience.
• OSHA 10 certification required.
• Automotive, manufacturing, or industrial facility experience.
• Knowledge of construction methods, mechanical systems, building codes, and OSHA safety practices.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and Microsoft Project.
• Strong communication, organization, and project coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate mechanical equipment installation, startup, commissioning, and handover.
• Review engineering drawings, specifications, shop drawings, and contractor RFIs.
• Oversee contractors and monitor construction progress, quality, and code compliance.
• Coordinate construction schedules, equipment deliveries, plant shutdowns, and utility outages.
• Manage RFIs, field change orders, inspections, and project status reports.
• Ensure mechanical installations meet engineering specifications and safety requirements.
